Anniversary of sorts

It dawned on me that yesterday is an anniversary of sorts for Jordan and myself...The day we started dating. It's not a day we celebrate, but it is one I remember fondly. He took me to the Armadillo Mexican restaurant that used to be located at Parker Rd. and Lincoln. It's been a million things since then, including a Halloween costume shop, I think. I remember I ordered chicken nachos because it was the most "date friendly" food I could think of. I ate maybe three nachos. After that we drove to the Castle Rock Outlets and walked around just chatting. Even back then, he knew the way to my heart, food and shopping :) That was seven years ago. Crazy. It's just funny to think of the exact day when your life takes a pivotal change and you are never the same.

I adore you Jordan and am glad you asked me out that day.

March Madness

Tomorrow kicks off the birthday madness of March! Jessie's birthday is tomorrow, and Jody's is on Tues. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the two of you and may you have all the cake you want on your day! Jordan and I love you both so much wish we could be in three places at once!

Academy Awards

This was the best Academy Awards show I've seen in a long time! The format was a lot different and I thought it worked very well!! Everyone looked really elegant and there were no major train wrecks! Here are a few of my favs from the night:

"Our" Valentine's Day

Since Jordan was on the road for Valentine's Day, we decided that the Wed. following would be "our" valentine's day. We planned on not purchasing gifts for one another, so I was very surprised when these flowers showed up at my work! That night we had a fancy dinner at the Hassyampa Inn...we were easily 50 years younger than any of the other patrons there that night, but enjoyed our meal and took home a lot of leftovers! I had a wonderful valentine's day and am reminded of what an amazing husband I have.

Happy Valentine's Day

What does a girl do when her husband is out of town on Valentine's Day?
-Sleep in
-Go for a massage
-Go on a Walgreens binge - Leave with eye-liner and magazine
-Cuddle with the dog
-Read above mentioned magazine while sipping hot tea
-Take bath
-Go eat Mexican food with Kristin
-Watch Sleepless in Seattle
Turns out it I made a pretty nice day for myself!! Happy Valentine's Day to you all out there. I hope your day was filled with lots and lots of love and at least a little chocolate ;)

Hello All!

Hey everyone and Happy Valentine's Season!!! Jordan has been home for three straight weeks which has been wonderful. Needless to say, we have been busy going to hockey games, hanging with friends and working...Between that I have been in a funk. By body was feeling yucky and tired, but never a full-blown cold.

We also learned some difficult news about the loss of family friend back home. It still makes me feel sad thinking about it so if you think of it, could you just lift up a few extra prayers for the Peters family. Prayers for comforted hearts, a well of love and support, and wonderful memories of their mother. This Valentine's Day, hug your loved ones a little longer, and a little tighter, and if your too far away to hug 'em, just let them know you love them.

Here are a few pics from the last few weeks...Enjoy!

The first couple pics were taken yesterday during our first and probably only winter storm...I was annoyingly giddy about it and my co-workers were asking me if I could drive them home, because they are all CA transplants and haven't driven in snow before :) The next set of pics are from Super Bowl Sunday. We went to a golf tournament in Phoenix at 7:30 am (the FBR Open is known for being super rowdy, it's completely true. Think Happy Gilmore.) then drove back for the game! That day was SO much fun and I'm so glad we got to go with our buddies! Love you all very much and hope you are all having a great week!
