I am attempting to make a variation on The Pioneer Woman's homemade cinnamon rolls...Oh boy, here we go!

21 weeks! Half-way There!

Last week we had our 20 week appointment and everything is looking good!! Doc said I am measuring perfectly and I was relieved because I was convinced that I had not gained enough weight yet and that my appetite is not as large as I imagine it should be. She said everything is just fine and I need to chill out. I love the doc we've been seeing because she is very to-the-point...

** DISCLAIMER** ANATOMY DISCUSSION FOLLOWS***

At our 18 week ultra-sound the results showed that I have a low-lying placenta. What this means is that my placenta, that normally grows in the upper part of the womb, is growing lower than normal at this stage. About 45% of preg. women have a low-lying placenta at 20 weeks and only 1% still have it low-lying by the time the turkey is done... if it is still low at 40 weeks and is covering the cervix (placenta previa) we are forced to have a c-section...not the biggest deal in the world.

What this means is we get to have another ultra-sound at 30 weeks to see the progress of my placenta and our little lady! Here's a visual of whats going on!

We still have not totally decided on a name, which should come as no surprise to anyone who knows Jordan and I ;) We love you all and hope you are enjoying the weekend!!

We enjoyed each other's company so much, ate delicious food all day, drank coffee, and then capped it off with doing our taxes!! Great weekend off of hockey with the man I love!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I thought this one could use some explaining!

I am obviously not a trained professional...I kept asking, "Oh, is that her little face?" the tech said, "No, that's her foot." Whatever, all I know is that she looked great and healthy and super smart (I mean, look at that dome!)! I'm totally kidding. Thank you all so much for the continued prayers for the healthy growth of this baby...we appreciate you all so much!

Will You Be My Valentine...Next week?

As is our usual situation, Jordan was in Amarillo today for Valentine's Day. He was sweet enough to send me a text at 5:30 am when they got to TX wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day! This is really okay with me because it only extends my very favorite season by one week! Next weekend Jordan has a very rare weekend off of hockey so we are planning "our valentine's day" in Phoenix!! What's on the docket you ask?? Well, I'll tell you.

-SPRINKLES CUPCAKES (I only thought there was one in Beverly Hills, BUT NO!)

I am looking forward to this week and please keep us in your prayers that on Wed. we will have an image of a perfect little baby, arms with fingers and legs with toes, and a beating heart, with it's "junk" exposed!
